Two cats killed on the same day in Yishun — a grim callback to 2015

In early February 2017, two community cats were found dead in Yishun on the same day, which animal-welfare volunteers and local media described as a disturbing callback to the 2015 Yishun cat-killing series. One cat was found near a road divider close to Yishun MRT station with its throat slit and what appeared to be a cord or cable tie nearby. The same day, a white cat was found dead behind Khoo Teck Puat Hospital, its mouth and upper body bloodied and badly battered. The cases were reported by the volunteer group Yishun 326 Tabby Cat; no perpetrator was identified.
