On 27 December 2020, a 57-year-old man fell into a hole and injured his knee when a grease-trap manhole cover gave way beneath him outside a coffeeshop at Block 732 Yishun. The Town Council cordoned off the area and reminded coffeeshops across Nee Soon to check their grease-trap covers. A small, very Yishun way for an ordinary errand to go wrong.
