Yishun finally gets air-conditioned bus interchange after 28 years

Yishun's Integrated Transport Hub officially opened on 8 September 2019, replacing the original bus interchange that had served residents since 1987. The old interchange was demolished to make way for Northpoint City, with a temporary facility near Golden Village Yishun bridging the gap during construction. The new air-conditioned hub seamlessly connects Yishun Bus Interchange, Yishun MRT station, Northpoint City, North Park Residences, and Nee Soon Central Community Club under one roof. For commuters who endured decades of open-air waiting and a years-long detour through a temporary interchange, the upgrade represents a quiet but meaningful win for the Yishun community.
