Yishun Public Library quietly becomes one of the north's best community spaces

Tucked inside Northpoint City, Yishun Public Library has grown from its modest origins on Yishun Street 22 into a spacious, renovated community anchor serving residents of all ages. Relocated and rebranded in 2008, the library expanded its floor area to accommodate a broader range of needs, from children's collections to adult reading resources. A further round of renovations in 2018 sharpened its offering for the Yishun population. Nearby, the Tzu Chi Humanistic Youth Centre adds another layer of community infrastructure, housing a makerspace, wellness studio, arts studio, co-working space, counselling rooms, and a plant-based café — quietly making Yishun one of the better-served towns in the north for youth development and lifelong learning.
